  1. Hi Ron. I’m very sorry for the lengthly delay in your colic question. We are still getting use to the different options available on our web site so it took me longer to respond to your question. My horse also had a similiar episode. I called our underwriter and explained the situation. 1. Was it a true colic? You might double check with your vet. This is important when getting mortality insurance. The company may exclude colic for a year and if everything is fine after that, they most likely will cover the horse. That is where I would begin.
